Wenger’s new offside rule

Wenger has been taking broadsides at the offside rule for a long time and his perseverance is finally paying off. The offside rule in football, which has been changed only twice in the last 135 years,is finally getting a makeover. Despite being more or less as constant as the northern star the advent of VAR has shown that the old rule can be taken to ridiculous extremes.Players have been declared offside by the narrowest of margins – the tip of a nose,a strand of hair or the toe of a boot.

Wenger has been proposing a revised law .His revised offside law will state that if any part of the body of the attacking player is behind the last defender, the attacker will remain onside.
