While managing Crystal Palace in 2021 Roy Hodson had said “I’ve seen so many people retire with all the fanfare blazing only to surface again somewhere in a fairly short period of time.I’d prefer not to do that.”

He departed gracefully and then did precisely what he said he would not do by remerging in Jan 2022 as coach of Watford. He then felt the need to retire again and did so in May 2022.However,like Arnold Schwarzenegger,he has this overwhelming urge to be back and so he reappeared on the scene once again as coach of Crystal Palace.

After a 5 – 0 hammering at the hands of Arsenal yesterday (Highlights ) Crystal Palace fans have had enough.
