It was,alas.probably the finally final time that these two supercoaches faced off against each other in the EPL. (There may be another round in the FA cup but that’s not certain.) Between them, they account for the top four points totals ever in a Premier League campaign (Liverpool – 99 (19-20) and 97 (18-19); City – 100 (17-18) and 98 (18-19)). One of the greatest EPL managerial rivalries ever.

The final game ended at 1- 1 and so Anfield under Klopp remained the citadel that Pep’s marauding horde could not overrun. A pulsating ,electric game that Liverpool almost won.
