A remarkably resurgent Manchester United put City to the sword on the 18th. (Actually Man Utd’s resurgence is more like a sudden unexpected explosion than a resurgence and City were simply blown away)
Still shaken by the explosion City then went on to a 3-1 Champion’s league collapse against the most unlikely of opponents – Bodø/Glimt. Giants got slain by minnows and there is chaos and disbelief everywhere we turn.
Pep chose to defend his players rather than berate them for these unexpected and unlikely events.
So it is good that at last,some semblance of normalcy has returned to life when City took on the Wolves in their next game after those two soul destroying losses. They won 2-0 even though Wolverhampton irritated them a lot by defending like anything and looking really dangerous on the break.
