Julián Quiñones of Mexico wrote his name into the history boooks by scoring the first goal of World Cup 2026. Interestingly, Quiñones celebrated by recreating the famous celebration of Siphiwe Tshabalala, who had scored the opening goal of the 2010 World Cup which was also in a Mexico–South Africa match.
