We will miss him at the World Cup mainly because Poland,alas, didn’t qualify. And Barcelona is not allowed to play in the World Cup. But even if they are playing in the World Cup in some parallel universe where clubs can play against countries we will still,alas,miss him. He has played his last game for them and signed off after 4 seasons with a tally of 120 goals ,three La Liga titles,and the Copa del Rey in 2025.
On 19th July, 2022 he signed a contract with Barcelona – not the glorious barcelona that everyone feared, but the financially struggling and Messi-less barcelona. Not knowing how to speak Spanish was another problem he had to face.Lewandowski had to step up big time and he did.He showed up and scored when it mattered. Barcelona went on to win the league in 2022-23.
We can fast forward to 2026 and see that Barcelona are once more a force to be reckoned with- thriving in all competitions,capable of terrorising all of Europe with their deadly lineup. Lewandowski has had a major part to play in that revival .
