Como,who came from nowhere are two points behind Roma the league leaders in the Serie A. In the EPL its Leeds who are,against all odds,in 3rd place in the EPL table. Como are a Cesc Fabregas inspired fairtytale.
Leeds are making their own fairy tale.They were expected to be fighting for survival, but the evidence from their first season back and their current super run suggests that the doutbers were barking up the wrong tree.
Leeds began the league campaign with a 1–0 victory away at Nottingham Forest, followed by a 1–1 draw with Brentford and a 1–1 draw at Brighton. They then produced a spectacular 4–1 victory over Newcastle at Elland Road on 14 September, moving to third in the table with eight points.
The Newcastle performance was particularly significant. Leeds were not simply hanging on against a supposedly stronger opponent. They were already 3-0 up by half time.
