The heroic goalie who took on Bayern Munich

It was always going to be a grim task to keep the mighty Bayern from scoring and he didn’t really manage.10 goals were let in but he has no regrets

The New Zealand goalkeeper Conor Tracey, born in 1997 and 1.88 meters tall, made his professional debut with Canterbury United before joining Auckland City in 2017. He has also been part of the U-23 national team that achieved the feat of qualifying for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

Conor currently works in a veterinary pharmaceutical warehouse, so he had to apply for unpaid vacation leave in order to participate in the Club World Cup with his team, as Conor himself confirmed:

“I’ve always had to combine annual leave with unpaid days. I’m going to struggle a bit with rent and bills, but playing against Bayern, Benfica and Boca is 100 per cent worth it,”
