Toni Kroos scored the winning goal off a free kick in the 95th minute and so Germany are still hanging in there .
The last gasp win is more evidence that this German side is a pale shadow of the organized and structurally sophisticated pass-and-move machine that won the last World Cup.
They are playing in fits and starts and for now they have been spared.
Unless they can get their act together the dream is going to end soon.
That having been said,the goal that Kroos scored at the end was pretty incredible.
