Brazil were off colour in their game against Costa Rica in more ways than one.They were dressed in blue for their game – their away kit – despite the fact their traditional yellow and blue was in no way clashing with the Costa Rica team colours.Even a totally colour blind referee would have been able to tell the difference between Brazil in yellow and Costa Rica in white.
Brazil,thus clad in blue turned out to be a less formidable force than they usually are when they appear in yellow.
They had to huff and puff for most of the game before Coutinho finally found a gap in the Costa Rican defence in the last 10 minutes of the game.Neymar added one more shortly after that.Costa Rica are out of the tournament and Brazil are steady on course for the next round.
