James Milner scored a first half penalty and Sadio Mane added and added time second but it was a hard fought second win for Liverpool.
Hodgson was pretty bugged with the penalty call.
“It is not a penalty.I have been in football a long time. If that is a penalty, then the game has changed beyond all recognition. There is no way he is looking to foul the player. He is trying to defend. There is no way he is looking to get contact on the player himself.”
Crystal Palace lost Aaron Wan-Bissaka in the 75th minute for a foul on Mohamed Salah and that made it a bit harder for them as well.
Klopp called it an “ugly win” which he is not complaining about.
