Michel Platini has more reasons to be depressed.

Ronaldo broke his record of highest number of goals in the Euro Championships when he scored two of the three goals that Portugal beat Hungary by in their opening game.

Platini might be mildly cheered up by the fact that he scored his record number of 9 goals all in one single Euro Competition (Euro 84)
Ronaldo has now gone two goals past him – 11 to his 9 goals and took part in 5 Euro competitions to get there.
He has now scored 106 goals for Portugal and is closing in on yet another record.
Ali Daei record of 109 goals for Iran.
That looks like a fait accompli for now.
